Breaking Ground Near Mount Weather in Loudoun County

There are moments in this line of work that never get old, and breaking ground on a new home is one of them. We recently had the opportunity to celebrate the start of a custom home build near Mount Weather in Loudoun County, Virginia, a project that has been a long time in the making.

Like many builds in Northern Virginia, this one began well before any equipment hit the site. The permitting process required patience, coordination, and a commitment to doing things the right way from the very beginning. While it took time to get through approvals, we believe that laying the proper groundwork, both on paper and in practice, is what sets a project up for long-term success.

Once permits were finalized, we were able to begin transforming the property. The site started as a heavily wooded lot, and through careful clearing, we opened up space for what will soon become a beautiful custom home. Our goal throughout this process was to prepare the land while still respecting the natural character of the area that makes Loudoun County so special.

From there, we focused on creating the infrastructure needed to support the build. We installed a gravel access road to ensure that our team, equipment, and materials could safely and efficiently reach the site. It’s one of those critical early steps that may not always be seen, but it plays a major role in keeping a project moving forward smoothly. With the site ready, we were honored to stand alongside the homeowners as they officially broke ground. Moments like these are what make custom home building so meaningful. This isn’t just the start of construction, it’s the beginning of a home that has been thoughtfully planned and is now coming to life.

Team Building and Celebration at Bear Chase Brewing Company

After breaking ground, we took time as a team to step back, reflect, and celebrate together at Bear Chase Brewing Company, one of our favorite spots in the area.

With its incredible views overlooking Loudoun County and relaxed atmosphere, it was the perfect setting to bring everyone together outside of the job site. After capturing a few team photos, we settled in to enjoy great food, drinks, and some well-earned downtime.

During the afternoon, Paul, our CEO, gathered the team and shared a message that really captured where we are as a company. He spoke about the success of 2025, highlighting the projects we completed, the relationships we built, and the level of craftsmanship we continue to push ourselves to deliver. It was a chance to recognize the work that everyone has put in and the standard we’ve set moving forward.

He also looked ahead to 2026, which is already shaping up to be a busy and exciting year. With a strong schedule ahead, the focus remains on growing the right way, maintaining quality, staying consistent, and continuing to build with intention. His message centered on teamwork, accountability, and taking pride in the work we do every single day. Taking time like this matters to us. As the afternoon continued, we were able to relax, connect, and enjoy the moment, knowing that we’re heading into the next chapter with momentum, clarity, and a shared commitment to what we’re building together.
